Crab Apple

Malus 'Rosehip' is named for the very large, gloriously glossy, bright red crab apples that display pronounced calyces, giving the appearance of Rosehips. The juicy fruits cover this Crab Apple tree in autumn and are ideal for making crab apple jelly due to their size and good levels of pectin. Glowing white, single flowers in spring look beautiful against the mid-to-dark green foliage and are attractive to wildlife such as honeybees. A good pollinator for Apple trees in the Orchard.
