About the event
The event starts at 6:15pm in the Carter Institute making ivy crowns and the children can make shakers. Families welcome. All materials provided.
Around 7pm Eynsham Morris will lead a candlelit procession from the Carter Institute along the Causeway to the Orchard for the Wassail Ceremony.
Wassailing is a centuries-old tradition where village revellers toast the health of the orchard with mulled cider to encourage a bountiful harvest.
